If you can't find the answer to your question here please contact me here

Can we have a campfire?

Yes, it's not really glamping without sitting around a campfire.  A firepit, and the first load of logs for it and the wood burning stove is included.  Extra logs are available for £10 per basket.  A grill is provided for the fire pit, for cooking on.  You can cook on wood, but if you prefer to use charcoal please bring it.

Do you allow dogs?

I'm afraid that as we're on a dairy farm we can't accommodate dogs, sorry.

Is there a covered area outside, in case it's hot or rainy?

Yes each yurt and shepherds hut has a pole and canvas, covered area, so you can sit outside in the sun (or rain) and enjoy the view.

Do you offer space for camping with tents?

We don't have have pitches for tents, but Ash Yurt and Daisy Shepherds Hut have large enough flat areas to pitch an extra tent on, so if you stay here these you can also bring a tent for more people, for £25 per tent per night.

Can I drive up to the yurt or shepherds huts to drop-off my stuff?

No, to preserve the peace and safety of the site you park in the car park and take your luggage up by hand or in one of the trolleys provided.  It's about 400m, and is uphill on the way!

Can I see the cows being milked?

Sort-of, at 5am and 2pm the cows are milked.  It usually takes about 2 hours for them all to go through.  You can watch them walk into the new milking parlour, shown on the map here.  Bore Place is currently raising funds to open a public viewing gallery, so you can actually see the milking itself.

Do you offer one night stays?

Yes in the winter you can stay in the shepherds huts for just one night, but between Easter and October half-term there is a two-night minimum.

Can we play music?

Yes you can play music on your phone, but not through an external speaker, to avoid disturbing the wildlife and fellow guests.

Can I drink the water?

Yes, the water in the taps in the shepherds huts, and in the outdoor kitchens from the yurts is drinking water from the mains

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is anytime from 4pm (2pm in the winter) and self service, so as late as you like (it is harder to find your yurt or hut for the first time in the dark though!).  Check-out is by 11am.
